How to play
| ↑↓←→ | Steer the snake. The round starts on your first arrow key; the one pointing back into the snake does nothing until it moves. On the menu or after a game over, an arrow starts a new round heading that way. While paused, an arrow turns and goes on. |
| WASD | Same as the arrow keys: up, left, down, right. |
| EnterorSpace | Play from the menu, Settings or game over. While paused, go on. |
| PorEsc | Pause and go on. In Settings, close Settings. |
| Esc | Before your first key press, open Settings. In this box, close it. |
| R | Start a new round at once with the settings in use: while playing, paused, or on the game over screen. |
| M | Sound on or off, same as the speaker button. |
| ←→ | On the Custom board slider, make the board smaller or bigger. |
| Tab | Move between buttons; Enter or Space presses the one in focus. |
The game pauses by itself when you switch to another tab.
Goal (in Settings) turns a round into a race: eat 10, 25, 50, 100 fruit or fill the board. The clock counts game time from your first move, so pauses and lag never change it; your best time is kept for each set of settings and the board size.
| Swipe | Swipe up, down, left or right anywhere on the board to steer. The turn happens as soon as your finger moves, so one drag can make several turns. |
| D-pad | Choose D-pad in the Controls row of Settings to get arrow buttons under the board. |
| Tap | Tap Play to start. Tap an option in Settings to choose it; its name pops up for a moment. |
| Drag | Drag outside the board to scroll the page. |
The game pauses by itself when you leave the page.
